On 3-5 of November 2014 the Energivie Summit took place in Strasbourg (France), with over 1,000 international participants. The event was dedicated to building and climate change, and was organized by the Alsace Energivie Competitiveness Cluster, the only French cluster fully dedicated to energy efficiency in Buildings. Main target groups for the summit are architects, master builders, engineering practices, real-estate developers, building site planners and others.
In one of the 12 conferences organized around this event, TECNALIA presented the ZenN project to over 300 attendants. The presentation focused on lessons learned so far in both the technical and social/financial aspects of the demonstrators, covering subjects such as shared international experiences in Total Cost of Ownership: business model and realities. One conclusion was that, although Europe is ahead the US in sensibility towards energy efficiency, Americans have more experience in how to bring energy efficiency into the market (new business models, new financial tools, etc).
